Hugs are legal again on the 17th may.
We like to see Mann's Cookies as a 'hug in a box' because they make you feel all warm and gooey inside. If you're not able to see someone special on the 17th May send them a big hug and loads of love through the post.
The Mental Health Minute
To raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week the Mental Health Minute brings together all radio stations from commercial radio, BBC stations and community radio to broadcast a unique, one-minute message on the importance of talking about mental health issues, reaching out, and listening to each other. Find out more here.
This year TMHM will be played at 10:59am on Friday 14 May to mark the end of the week and reminds audiences that the focus on good mental health doesn’t end when the week does and to continue the conversation.
You will hear famous voices from the worlds of sport, music and more take to the airwaves all over the UK at exactly the same time, utilising radio to spark important conversation across the nation.
This year’s creative treatment will be written by mental health expert and poet, Hussain Manawer. Check out Manawer's very powerful instagram account here.
Like cookies always make us feel good, Manawer says "for me I have to do it. If I don’t write for a few days I get proper caught up in my feelings".
This is a small reminder to keep the conversation around mental health alive all year around.
